The Bell Inn - A historic coaching inn with family rooms, free WiFi, and on-site electric vehicle charging
The Bell Inn in Evercreech serves as a family-friendly pub with guestrooms and offers a garden, free WiFi, and free parking. Its family rooms include private bathrooms, a TV, electric kettle, and wardrobe. The on-site restaurant serves lunch and dinner with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, and a daily specials board. Breakfast includes continental, full English/Irish, and vegan selections featuring local specialities, warm dishes, juice, pancakes, and cheese. The property also features a bar, a skittle alley, and a beer garden. Guests have access to an electric vehicle charging station and free parking. The Bell Inn is located 27 km from Longleat Safari Park, 14 km from Wells Cathedral, and 39 km from Bristol Airport. The inn is about 400 years old, built as a coaching inn, and retains a rustic ambiance with modern room interiors. A full breakfast is served each morning at The Bell Inn, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Pros
The building is roughly 400 years old and originally a coaching inn, providing a historic atmosphere.
The restaurant sources ingredients from local farms and businesses.
Rooms feature modern interiors with comfortable beds and spacious ensuites.
The pub is dog-friendly and has a skittle alley for entertainment.
Free WiFi and two electric vehicle charging points are available on-site.
Cons
The car park is quite tight, making it challenging to park larger vehicles.
The bar can become noisy in the evenings, which may affect the calm of dining.
“The recent renovations have breathed a fresh, contemporary life into this historic inn, evident in the immaculate rooms and spacious showers. Friendly, accommodating staff make the atmosphere genuinely welcoming, while the quality and value of the food, from breakfast to dinner, create a compelling reason to linger.”
